After meeting on a blind date in July 2016 and dating for over 16 months, Prince Harry (33) finally popped the question in a cozy Nottingham Cottage at Kensington to American TV actress of Suits, Meghan Markle (36). It was announced by the Kensington Royal social media accounts on Monday, November 27th, 2019 that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are engaged and set for official joint engagement in the city of Nottingham on Friday, December 1st, 2019.
The couple is set to be married in Spring of May 2018 at St
George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, following the steps of a Royal Family
tradition. Meghan Markle intends to become a UK citizen after the marriage
takes place next year, also making Markle the fourth Duchess of Cambridge in
line.
Upon hearing the announcements, the happy couple was
congratulated by people around the world including Britain’s Prime Minister
Theresa May, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and of course the Duke and
Duchess of the Royal Family. The Duke and Duchess has nothing to say but lovely
things for the couple; Kate Middleton told a reporter that William and herself
are absolutely thrilled, “It’s such exciting news. It’s a really happy time for
any couple, and we swish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy
moment.”
